I’ll never forget making our first sale at Kemo Sabe – it was Thanksgiving Day of 1990. It was a Ralph Marlin fish tie for 12 bucks. We made $284 in sales on that first day (just $16 short of our $300 goal!) and we haven’t looked back since. Every time I read the following quote, my heart swells with gratitude that I get to live here and share in some small way… it’s the dream.
“All America lies at the end of the wilderness road, and our past is not a dead past, but still lives in us. Our forefathers had civilization inside themselves, the wild outside. We live in the civilization they created, but within us the wilderness still lingers. What they dreamed, we live, and what they lived, we dream.”
